Geek's and Nerds and how to be them.

Wondering the world around me, i have come to notice that not many people know the differance between Nerds and Geek's.
So i have decided to show you the differance!

This is what Wikipedia have to say about Nerds.
"Nerd is a term that refers to a person who avidly pursues intellectual activities, technical or scientificesoteric knowledge, or other obscure interests, rather than engaging in more social or conventional activities. It often carries a derogatory connotation or stereotype. The nerd may be awkward, shy and unattractive. endeavors, loner Therefore, a nerd is often excluded from physical activity and considered a by peers, or will tend to associate with like-minded people."

 
A Geek, However is discribed like this  by another, less known webpage:
"Geek is a popular slang term that has been around in some form for over a century. In the 1920s, a geek was a freak show performer that swallowed bugs and other animals."

... Luckaly, the webpage continues with this:
"Today, the word generally has a more positive connotation, used to refer to someone who has a great deal of specialized knowledge in a "geeky" field, such as technology, gaming, comics/ TV-shows or science."


A Geek can allso be seen as more socially active than a Nerd, but this can unfortunately not be prooven by science.




Allso, i haveto mention the Dork. As you can see on the picture above... aksualy that says it all...
